What Qualifies for Trade-in?
The program is for you two-channel aficionados only. Sorry, home theater buffs, but then again, there are no McIntosh 1960s home theater components to trade in. But there is qualifying two-channel equipment from that era, and you can get up to 75% of the value you paid for it! You can trade in gear like an older monoblock or stereo amplifier, preamp, integrated, or even receivers toward the purchase of newer models of those components.
What Should You Get?
This is the fun part! Scratch your itch for an upgrade with some excellent new gear. Let's start with amplifiers. Perhaps you have an older integrated amp and are ready to step up to separates. As you know, McIntosh amplifiers can be handed down to the next generation, so it's a worthy investment. For example, the MC462 might be the last stereo amp you ever need to buy. Packing a massive 450 watts per channel, it can power virtually any speaker, even down to 2 Ohm impedance. This kind of power lets you hear and feel every detail of the music and can handle drastic swings in dynamics with no distortion. If you want to experience it for yourself, come have a listen at our showroom.
The other excuse to upgrade—not that you need one—might be to take advantage of all of today’s digital formats. A couple of options would pair beautifully with the MC462. If you love the warmth of vacuum tubes, the C2700 preamp combines them with the convenience and flexibility of every modern digital audio format. It comes with McIntosh's latest DA2 digital module, which is the company's answer to never obsoleting your preamp over a new digital format. The DA2 includes seven digital inputs, including the highest definition DSD over USB and HDMI ARC, for turning your TV into a convenient source component. The beauty of this approach is that when digital formats evolve, McIntosh can make a DA3 to upgrade your preamp. If you're a fan of solid-state only architecture, the McIntosh C53 also features the DA2 digital module and has won many accolades from top audio reviewers and publications.
Now is the best time to upgrade to a new McIntosh two-channel audio component. To learn more about the promotion or schedule an appointment, contact Show & Tell AV Solutions today—we would love to help you!
