The Control4 Smart Home Is Improved Again with the Upgraded OS 3.3.0 Operating System

Improving the User Experience

In June 2022, Control4 announced the release of the new Control4 OS 3.3.0 operating system software. This upgrade includes several integrations that allow for an improved user experience, including faster speeds, greater performance, and seamless smart home control. 

Clients control their smart homes via touchscreens, remotes, in-wall keypads, and mobile devices. One touch transforms the lighting, shades, entertainment, security, and more. This update includes new CORE Controllers that run the system faster and more efficiently. In addition, the user-friendly and beautifully designed interactive on-screen menu provides almost instantaneous access to the system's music, video, climate, lighting, and security solutions.

The Control4 high-resolution music experience is also enhanced, with higher quality digital-to-analog converters, helping to improve the overall soundstage.

Remote Access Just Got Faster 

One of the Control4 features our clients appreciate is the ability to access and control their homes from anywhere. They can pull up the Control4 App when leaving work and set the climate and spa to just the right temperatures, ensuring their home is ready for them when they arrive. Thanks to this upgrade, connecting to their home when they are away just got up to 40% faster.

Apple enthusiasts will also appreciate the company’s new support for Apple Watch. Now, your favorites appear on your watch for easy access to the devices you use the most, making managing your home even easier.

Another highly anticipated upgrade is the addition of a vibrant lighting color wheel. Today, thanks to Ketra’s dynamic spectrum lighting, homeowners have access to about 17 million colors of light. This means that those with tunable LED lighting can effortlessly set their lights to their preferred hue and temperature for just about every mood and occasion. 

Do you want your patio and landscape awash in lights the color of soft amber candlelight when you have friends over for a barbecue? Those with a dramatic flair may opt for a home filled with washes of purple, blue, and green lights. You can select just the right lighting and then save it as a preferred setting.
